gr8word.com has a whole host of features for writers like you. While at first the interface may seem a little daunting please feel free to play with anything you find, the more you use the site the more intuitive we hope you will find it.

To get you up and running, here is a guide to making a standard blog post.

 

Start Blogging

In this section, you will learn to create your first gr8word.com blog. Just follow these simple steps and you will be blogging in minutes.

 

Step 1. 

First, you will need to sign in to gr8word.com.

 

 

After you have logged in, you can click on the "Write" option that will appear in the menu bar.

 

Step 2.

You can start your blog by giving it a title, in A.

 

After giving your blog a title, you can select who views your post using the dropdown menu B.

You can change this later if you wish.

 

Add in images and media to your blog using the box Insert Media Button C

(There is more help with on media later in this guide) 

 

Step 3.

Next, you might want to insert tags to your blog. Your tags can be added at the “Tags” panel.

 

Step 4.

When you are done with your blog and ready to publish 

it, just hit on the “Publish Now” that is the green button at 

the top right.

 

 

Using Images, Videos and other files.

 

You can make your blog look more beautiful by inserting images and videos or you can attach documents and files (e.g. a Word .doc or a .zip file) to your post. Here you will learn how to upload files to your media manager and blog.

 

Step 1.

Click the ‘Insert Media’ button. 

 

Step 2.

Click “Choose a media” on the right. This will open the gr8word.com media manager.

 

Step 3.

When you are in media manager, click the “Upload Media” button at the top right. Select the image or file that you want to upload.  When the image has been uploaded to your media manager, select the image and click “Insert Image” which is the green button on the top right corner of the page.

 

Step 4.

Congratulations, you have just inserted a file into your blog post.
